Typical Applications:
On/Off temperature controllers are designed to control and maintain temperatures in appliances by turning on or off, depending on the users required pre-set temperature. If the temperature drops below the setpoint, the controller will turn on and increase the temperature until it is met. Why use an On/Off Temperature Controller?
Used for monitoring purposes in heating environments, on-off temperature controllers prevent rapid increases in temperature that could cause damage. These controllers are often used where there isn't a need for precision temperature control, but where a system is unable to handle continuous interruptions. A typical example of an on-off controller is a thermostat in a system, if the temperature drops below the preset level the system is switched on. They can protect against a system over-heating or over-cooling and have an 'on' 'off' option with no middle state.
